During his tenure at UIW, Aaron wrote, directed, and acted in several original short films. Two of these films, Road of Ash and The Hero, were presented at the UIW Convergent Media showcase. The filmmaking process, from script authoring to the editing room, awakened and stimulated my love of storytelling.
In the years following college, Aaron founded a short film group that gave prospective actors, videographers, and script writers a community, and way to get hands-on-experience. Aaron produced, wrote, acted, edited, and assisted others in doing the same. Along various skits, Aaron starred in and oversaw successful production of the short film Mr. Clown Saves a Town, based on his own original screenplay. Aaron’s final project with the group was the short film The Beep, where he held the role of executive producer.
Mr. Clown is currently circulating film festivals and has won various awards, including: Best Comedy Short at Milan Indie Film Fest 2024 and Best Ensemble Cast at Austin Micro Film Fest 2024. Maybe time for a sequel? Adult Swim series? (psst Adult Swim producers, it would make an awesome show…)
